Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 13, 2026

This policy describes how Splats handles information when you use the macOS, iPadOS, and iOS apps.

Data collection

Splats does not collect personal information, does not include third-party analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites.

The app does not sell or share personal information.

Files you open

Splats opens Gaussian splat scene files that you choose through system document flows such as file picker, drag and drop, or Open With.

Scene files remain on your device unless you separately choose to move, share, or sync them using Apple system features or another app.

Local app data

Splats may store local app settings, recent-file references, security-scoped bookmarks, rendering preferences, and Splatpaper preferences so the app can restore your chosen workflow.

This information is stored locally by the app and is used only to provide app features.

Network access

Splats is designed for local viewing and does not require an account.

The App Clip can download a scene file from the invocation link you open, such as a QR code or local testing link. Those files are used to display the scene and are stored locally by the app.

Children

Splats is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Splats changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
